Berea Area Guide
Look Forward to Your Berea Travel
Berea has been featured by many national magazines, such as Southern Living, which called it a "Favorite Southern Small Town." The community owes much of its distinction to the artists who have made it the Folk Arts and Crafts Capital of Kentucky—as named by the state legislature. Numerous artists showcase their craft in shops, studios, and galleries throughout the town.
Boone Tavern proudly hosts those traveling on business and is in close proximity to many corporate headquarters, such as Berea College, Kentucky Artisan Center, Stemco, Hitachi, St. Joseph Hospital, Eastern Kentucky University, and more.
Our property houses the Boone Tavern Dining Room, serving locally sourced produce and meats. Should you venture out for a meal, we recommend Papalenos, Main Street Café, or the Kentucky Artisan Café & Grill.
The community is also largely affected by the hard-working students who call it home. These individuals are on full scholarship at Berea College for their studies and work at more than 140 sites in the community to help fund their education. Historic Boone Tavern Hotel & Restaurant is one of these proud employers of Berea College students.
